Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American actress, dancer and singer since the early 1990s. The first Broadway performances are Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. in You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Annaleigh Ashley Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with actors and directors both on screen and stage for all of her career. Ashford's next venture will be an exclusive Hulu series titled Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show will premiere on the 22nd of November and Ashford is starring alongside Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently working in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. The film is scheduled to stream through Disney's DTC platforms, as well as Hulu Original. Ashford's Broadway return is scheduled to take place on March 20, 2023. He stars opposite Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the production. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment which is based on the national crisis that swept up Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters for the first impeachment trial in more than 100 years. She was also the lead in two seasons on CBS Comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway credits for Ashford include Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, and her role as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received an Tony Award nomination. Ashford, who was raised in Denver and now lives in Los Angeles and New York.
